This grain of rice is exclusive to India and is not grown anywhere in Asia. This is mostly grown in Orissa, West Bengal, Assam, Eastern Bihar, Jharkhand and Southern Uttar Pradesh region. This grain is similar to Osmangic Rice (Turkey), Baldo ( italy), Rapan (Russia).
